connoisseurs as “the sweetest voice in Jamaican folk history”. 50 years in the
business. -taught Bob Marley the art- recorded with The Skatalites - His voice has graced
many hits on the legendary Studio 1, Coxsone, Blue Beat,
Island, and Trojan labels.
Featured hits include - ‘On the Beach’, ‘Jezebel’,
‘Patricia’ and the original version of Sam Cooke’s ‘cupid’.
The rich
vintage voice of Owen makes him a true ‘Hero of Kingston’.

LAUREL AITKEN
The ‘Godfather
of Ska’ - ‘the High priest of Reggae’. Recorded the first ever Jamaican 45 - ‘Boogie in my Bones’. Massive hits through
the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s on Blue Beat, Pama and
Trojan.
Laurel,
master live performer, is rightly hailed around the world as
the ‘Godfather of Ska’.
